About the Association

Following the 1st Interdisciplinary Colloquium on Proverbs (ICP07), and given the interest expressed by participants, it was decided to create the Associação Internacional de Paremiologia / International Association of Paremiology (AIP-IAP), established in Tavira and aiming, among others, the following objectives:

  1. to realize paremiological studies at international level
  2. to organize international conferences in paremiology
  3. to make paremiological research at international level
